Well, technically he's not a hitlad, but the scam is pretty much the same, and I was so impressed with this lad that I thought I would pass him along. My son received the following email

Your front camera was switched on thanks to that software and videotaped and made photographs.

At the same time I own all access to yours SNSs user accounts.

In a case if you don’t desire me to dispatch all compromising material ( when you have been tugging it ) to your loved ones and workfellows, then you ought to give US Dollars 400 to my Bitcoin address

All relatives and coworkers get dirty laundry if I do not receive remittance within 24 hours.

In a case if you going to fulfill all this instructions I will shut down all these leverage against you.

You should know that the most important in this time is family and it should be a nice experience from now on.

If you do not do that baddy things there was no such situation.

Folks are welcome to have a go, but you probably won't get much fun. Blackmail scammers are different than hitlads in that they usually don't engage. You either pay or you don't. If you don't they generally don't spend much, if any, time convincing you, they just move on. They're just playing the percentages hoping to get someone who believes the note and will send some btc.

This is not baitable at all. The only email address is the one used to send it, which is either spoofed or hacked and belongs to an ITP.

The scammer has no interest in interacting with his victims. He just wants them to panic into sending the BTC.

The Brazil domain used is used for one off addresses often but B8er is right, blackmail scammers do like to spoof or hikack ITP addresses for spamming so I removed it just in case. Good catch.
