Theres a new job scam on various job search websites and they go by the name of "Boatport Ltd" they also have a website setup called "Birdboats.com" . If anyone knows how the website can be taken down it would be great these guys need to be shut down . The scam itself involves them offering you a fictional job and then saying you are required to do a specific child security check through a linked website at a cost of £99.99 for you to start work with them ..... I knew this was a scam as soon as they offered me a contract without even meeting me face to face and thaught i would go along with it . They offered jobs in various locations in the UK. I did quite a bit of digging and it looks like these guys have been doing various stunts for a while i have a lot of info which i will post on here even though i expect a lot of its fictional.

Same as the stories below but I had a recruitment consultent ring me and then a few days later I receive an email with the heading "The job is yours " i realised something fishy was going on when they said about making the payment for the CRB through a specific website and it costing a hell of a lot more than the actual price ...... I hope people keep posting about scams like this these crooks need to caught their wrong ens !

At the end of June I was contacted by Vikas of Food Culture Ltd. He emailed me a contract of employment which I signed and he stated I need ed a Basic Disclosure Check before the 1st July via ExpressDBSChecks. I followed the instructions and paid £89 into the account via bank transfer. They asked my to send them proof of passport, Driving licence, proof of address etc. I did send them photos copies as I assumed it was a legitimate check and employment. Since then I have had no contact, no replied from Food culture ltd or express dbs checks. It was a scam and now I'm worried about my identity as it can be used in fraud or even terrorism. Can anyone advise me on what action I can take?

These guys really did some damage to some people which i feel sorry for they have lots of companies registered to various addresses i looked through a few of their accounts and they are very fishy each director of Baotport ltd has been involved with and resigned from 100s of positions and there capital investment as low as 2 or 3 pounds heres a link to mr David Angus (probably fictional name)http://www.endole.co.uk/profile/30071/george-david-angus

If anyone else has been hit by these scammers would be good to hear from you
