I would like to know iff people on here do have personal experiences in this mather.I been stranded few times back in the time for example...robbed while sleeping a hotel on Tenerife i could not contact anybody and sleep a week in caves with little or no food or drinking water.(my great embassy did nothing at all)It was only a week but i still have bad memories about it.

@Mod Feel free to delete or move this topic not sure it belongs here.Just curious how many realise what it really means to be stranded.

Keep in mind, Mugu-eater, on that on this board it is "hash conditions" not "harsh conditions".

I was once forced to slum it in business class. Full of sales executives wearing Nylon suits and cheap cologne. They even gave us sparkling wine! Worst hour of my life.

Having "The Luck Of The Irish," every time hash conditions were staring me in the face, someone came along within minutes to solve my conditions.

Except for one time many years ago, I stopped overnight in a county in South Carolina on a Sunday. My bad. It was a dry county!! Couldn't get a beer to save my ass!

I once spent a night on the St. Lawrence River in a broken down boat that had no paddles or life jackets. We drifted in the middle of a Shipping lane for twelve or so hours before we bumped up against an Island and were able to call for help. Although the ordeal kinda sucked we did have plenty of beer and rum to ease the pain but since we were crossing an International Border we left the Hash at home.

I've got that, and a flock of angels on permanent standby watching over me. Never been rubbed, streaded or landed myself in hash conditions.

Tho... I did once go on a very strange holiday to a place called Jaywick Sands if that counts.

I once lost my bottle opener and was forced to live on food and water for two months.. Rolling Eyes

Whenever I've been stredded in hash conditions, there's usually been a broken car or motorbike to worry about too.

First time I returned from Vacation in Europe my flight back from Luxembourg was 3 hours late. I ended up staying overnight sleeping on my three pieces of luggage at Newark Airport. Crying or Very sad
