OK crew, we have a bit of a situation that requires our attention. Namely, has anyone noticed that we have had a Kitty wandering around the corridors of our loony house for a year now, and no one has yet done anything about it!? Because in a year no one has adopted it, made strange experiments on it or eaten it with tomato sauce, I have to assume it belongs to no one.

Furthermore, I have to assume it is completely lost because no sane Kitty would voluntarily spend more than 2.567 hours in our company before making its way out. I believe it is our duty to show this feline the closest door to freedom, because not only has it been here for a year already, but it has also grown up and adopted the habits of some of our less than respectable members at alarming rate. I mean, not two days ago I went to check on my secret stash and there was not a drop of my favorite vodka left. Only paw tracks and opened bottles. I have been sober since because my next online order hasn't yet arrived!

A year ago, when I met this particular Kitty wandering around the CMP, I tried showing it the right way out, but it seems I have failed miserably. It's still here and I implore you fine crewmates of mine to help me kicking it out, or at the very least teaching it not to drink from my stash all the time.

I think since it has, while of course accidentally, still at least in theory and principle, been part of our motley family for a year now, this counts as its first Eaterversary.

And thank you for being first an awesome mentee, then a reliable fellow baiter and finally, and most importantly, a good and reliable friend. This nutjob collective is a better place because of you.

Of course, that still doesn't mean I wouldn't be mad at you for forcing me to sober up.

Thank you, Duckling! I have to admit, I was reading your note and wondering what on earth was going on, then I happened to glance at my profile and - DANG! - it has been an entire year since I hit that "Register" button to become a legitimate member, and not just another Duckling stalker Wink

I can confess that now - right?

It was a delightful beginning, romping through the love shack, then sometime in May I discovered there were actually *other* forums on Eater and I joined a few massbaits at the urging of my very capable mentor who I owe a few six packs and a couple bottles of whatever it was I drank during the graduation melon dance ceremony and then I had my "summer of love" with Tim, and did a Fall stint as a pig farmer/boating company owner, and finally I had collected enough orphans, widows, barristers and priests to trade them all for my old street corner in the love shack again: just close enough to hook up with Bware and Ginger Lee's sloppy seconds. Even Tim is back! Life is good! Cool

It has truly been an amazing year at Eater getting to know all of you wonderful people, and I look forward to my next year, when I finally get to stop serving my former mentor basic mixed drinks, and I will graduate to the blended and fruity drinks. I might even start putting alcohol back in the glasses! Very Happy
