Baiting Lads from SW

Hi,

I am in the market for a new love lad, but don't want to go to the dating sites because my last profile was getting a lot of ITP and I feel bad rejecting them as some of them seem like nice people. I just want to bait a known lad. I did write to Steven and he never answered me and he was answering others so perhaps my opening email was not right.

So, I thought I would ask on what you say in your first opening letter to the lad. I have baited other lads from SW, but those weren't love lads and don't care where I got their opening email, they just want to scam me. With love lads, they ask where I got their email addy and I am at a loss of what to say.

I thought this would be a good thread to post as we have some new members who are asking about where to get love lads and a couple of answers have been to go to SW (along with dating sites). The idea of using SW is a good idea for new dating baiters, whether the member has been here for a day to 10 years, as you will have a known scammer and don't have to weed out ITP's on a dating site. I know when I started baiting off of dating sites, it is hard to differentiate between lad and ITP.

Can those of you who do get your lads from SW show how you do your opening letter or what types of answers you give when they ask where you got their email? I want to do some damage in the new year and make more time for baiting. I have been a little grumpy of late so I need a lad to take it out on.

I usually look at what site the lad is using and send an email with "Hi, you messaged me on ____ and asked me to email you so hi!"

Sometimes it doesn't work, but 2 out of 3 times, the lad replies and it moves forward.

A lot of the posts at Scamwarners do have the details of the dating site the scammer was found on and also details of other sites with matching profiles.

If in doubt, I usually start with apologising for the delay in emailing them and say that I couldn't log in to the dating site (but don't specify which one).

Another option would be to approach scam profiles on one of the sites and ignore anyone that contacts you - just look for the ones that have military pictures or are for non-Africans and have an African style of writing (dropped "I", etc.).

I agree with both the above.

I usually say that they emailed me on such and such a site and apologise for the delay in getting back to them, and that I hope they're still interested and haven't met anyone else. I've always had a reply with that.

The thing that never works for me, is approaching someone that I think is a scammer, they never reply, I think they like to choose their own victims.

That way he can't ask what dating site I found him at.
