To me "binary options" means switches that can be either on or off and are passed to a program. I have no clue what they are talking about.
The phone number in whois is invalid. No country code in the world begins with a 0. However, the country code of Romania is 40, so it looks like they just stuck a zero in front.
The site has HTTPS, and Firefox does not complain about an invalid certificate. (Konqueror does so routinely; it's a known bug.)
There is no support number in Romania. The one in Canada is in a Québecois area code, but the NXX 800 is not in my list of NXXes, so I had to redownload the LATA files, and it appears that they changed the format.
I'm leaning toward legitimate because of the HTTPS, but I'm not at all sure. |

What changed is the XML++ library, which I use to parse the files of phone exchanges. I fixed my program so that it reads all the files, not just the first.
Also it looks like I misparsed the program's output. 1-438-800 is indeed in Montréal, but the block starts at 1-438-792, so I missed it at first glance. It's 1-438-810 which is unassigned. The contact numbers are on https://www.optionsxo.com/content/contact-us/. |

Binary options are just another way of trading online. Yes, scammers do use binary option trading but usually get busted pretty quickly in MOST countries.

It looks like it is set up to be a legit binary trading firm, but there are complaints on Ripoff Report:

I don't think it's an Advanced Fee scam, but a shady group maybe? There's so many of these types of sites out there for self trading it's hard to keep up with which ones are fakes. It looks like complaints have since been resolved. I saw the SW and I think the victim needs to provide more details before calling out fraud. Did he lose the money on trades? Did he spend more then he had? I think there is more to his story. |
