My local news station is reporting that something like 3 million G-mail accounts and their passwords have been posted to a Russian website. ( I think they said Russian anyway) I'm changing all my G-mail passwords (Real Life & Baiter) JIC. |

I was locked out of my reporting acct this morning. Did the change password dance and all is well, no intrusions. Hard to think google was being proactive, but I guess hell can freeze over every now and then...  |

I was lucky with no hits but I change my passwords every 6 months on critical accounts. Just think bware, they were in your box for ~3 years:

They did say that a lot of the passwords were old. For me that mean't going into old accounts and changing the PW's there too. Funny, I had an old E-mail from Sean John saying my loan was still pending..... |

Mine all show clean in Joker's handy link but I had been thinking of changing my RL PW anyway so I went ahead. The main reason is that the last time I changed it I made it so hard I could never remember it. Now it's very strong, with all the required elements (combo of caps, lower case, numbers, characters) but it's easy to remember and impossible to guess because it's so seemingly random to anyone who doesn't know what it's based upon. And even then... |

I have no 'Real Life' Gmail accounts but got locked from my Baiter Accounts this year in Eastern Europe and other such things like Phoney Facebook stuff. Consequently I had to change many passwords after proving that I was Trucker John etc.
Other Real life stuff was questioned but anything Work Related never gave a Hiccup.... |
