Appears the scammer (using an "in trouble with the revenue service" modality) didn't like what the vics had to say and "SWATted" the vics.

Odds are, this was a US scammer. Again, showing not all fraud originates in 9ja.

^^^ Possible, but, I'd say they could well be Indian - a lot of the Windows scams originate from there and many of the reports I've seen of IRS scammers mention calls from people with heavy Indian accents.

They also have very easy access to a lot of personal details of people in Western countries due to the prevalence of off-shoring call centers.
