Hey. I have a new crop of lads for my Lad Army and I want to pay them well (heh). Anyone know typical Nigerian salaries for:
Engineers:
Middle management types:
etc.
I will google also, but google is incredibly unreliable on US salary info. Guessing it's not much better for Nigeria. |

haha.... Mechanical, structural and electric. Also wondering that the average young, inexperienced person would make (in goats?) if they did something like delivery. |

Going off of PF's research:
420000 Naira = 2580.6480 USD as an average for an engineer. All I have to say is: 
As far as who is going to make more out of your engineering types you listed, mechanical and electrical (hard to say who will make more). Structural engineers are glorified civil and architectural engineers for the most part.

There I half wonder if some of that is skewed for foreign engineers of higher quality training and partially because of the bonus. Were I to go take a job in Nigeria working in the industry I work in, I would be getting hazard pay. Reasons: Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta and Boko Haram. There is a reason I turned down assignment there. Despite a low 6 figure walk out for 6 months of work, no thank you. I had friends that had to put up with gunboat raids by MEND. That is a story I will not tell here though and just leave it with no thank you!
Just an estimate here but I would start off with 20000 USD and offer performance bonuses, rich ones. That tends to be the currency of engineering in a lot of parts. |
