Dear Hammy the Hamster: this is to let you know that we are all glad you are back with us safe and sound and we were extremely worried for you while you were gone. When we noticed that Eater had stopped working yesterday, rumors started circulating. Some of us were afraid you had been kidnapped by an angry lad, others believed you had collapsed from exhaustion in your little wheel that you use to power Eater's servers. We were all really sad and afraid and wondering if life could go on after such a catastrophe! To some of us this is the only way to almost meet almost real almost people, so in your infinite hamsterish wisdom I'm sure you understand why suicide rates were about to go up again for a moment there.

Anyway, Hammy, it's great to have you back! It appears not everyone even knows that it's you in your little blue wheel who makes makes it possible for Eater to run in the first place. So this thread serves both as a welcome back as well as a public "Hammy the Hamster appreciation thread" to celebrate the valuable work you do every day behind the scenes for us. Know that we all appreciate you running endlessly in your little wheel and producing enough electricity for Eater to run and for us to PW, and that our lives would be very different and much more empty without you and your little wheel.

So thank you, Hammy, for your hard work and I hope your break was great and relaxing! Now get back to work and don't let it happen again!

Actually, Rover had a work experience boy to run the forum

yesterday's downtime was due to Facebook offering him a job pressing the "like" button for Z-listers to make them look popular.

So the Mods have had to step in for the moment. This one appears to be wearing part of some sort of animal costume

You know something's up when the Mod Lounge door is locked. I guess Hammy escaped his wheel and got into the drinks cabinet. Kudos to Rover for chasing and trapping Hammy who was in a stupor and returning him to his avocation!

Ah! ...... so that's what happened I had begun to suspect the mods were 419ers scamming us for our premium membership fees, then locking us out. You can't begin to imagine how upsetting it was - I couldn't even get in to start baiting you all. banghead

I was beginning to feel really ....... ungrateful Razz
