More than a few dating sites won't accept members or profiles from certain countries-like Ukraine, Nigeria or Ghana. Scammers list their location almost at random in the US or UK to avoid the filters. You'd be amazed how many of the ladettes have to go to Lagos or Accra to finish their nursing degree! |

The Ghanian embassy website requires this when applying for a visa to visit Ghana:

I'm guessing the lad won't know the difference between these visas and a tourist visa. Perhaps you should require him to complete a letter of invitation.

It requires the "host" send:

Of course, I wouldn't send them to that site until they have submitted the first letter of application and the embassy had denied it. |
