There's a great deal to like about Africa and the nations and cultures that exist there in terms of arts, music, history and tradition. I think it's worth celebrating. |

Thanks NG - there are a few lads that I truly hate - but only because they are evil. What I like about this community is the complete lack of racial hatred. |

Well said, Merv. As you'll have seen on the way in we have a very strong position on that issue. We bait scammers, and that's it. As an aside, among a majority of the population of West Africa, scammers are truly hated. People there realise that they bring shame on their neighbours and more often than not will scam them as easily as anyone else, quite often by selling their houses from under them - Which completely flattens one of the popular excuses used by 419's practitioners and apologists.
Here's an old favourite, and right on topic .. Playing this to a lad when his bank transfer has gone kapoof usually gets him off script and into a bellowing rage

IF anything can disprove the "I'm just a poor person with no opportunity but to scam people," lads it's the millions of hard working people throughout West Africa who are supporting their families honestly, many times without the benefits of higher education, government connections, etc. If anyone hates 419'ers more than we do, I'd wager it is the people in their own countries. |
