Scammer sent a huge amount of emails

I've just received an email from a lad who (I guess unintentionally) put a huge amount of emails in the CC. I wanted to send an email to all those addresses but it doesn't allow me to because of too many recipients.

What would be the best way to inform all those possible victims?

I wouldn't; for these reasons

1. As it is an early format bulk mail the vast majority of the recipients will junk it straight off as an obvious scam. Probably all of them, as they will see the huge CC list too.

2. If the lad doesn't know how to BCC or use a proper mailer then he is a smallboi with no skills. Don't educate him by potentially revealing his mistake.

Of course if you want to be the one victim who pays, just reply from a safe, bait-only email address and pretend you simply don't know any better. Bait safe, and have fun.

Also if your address starts sending spam-like messages it may prove troublesome in future.

Another way of helping to inform possible victims, Frost, is to join our sister site Scamwarners - www.scamwarners.com and post up the email address and scam email on there.

Potential victims are saved/informed when they google the email address.
