There I was, having a great time convincing the 'Microsoft Technician' who was hanging on the other end of the line, that I had misplaced the keys to the 'computer room' (which, incidentally, is situated -allegedly- at the far end of my grand mansion, up four flights of stairs and along apparently endless corridors) and was 'frantically searching' every room in the house for them, blaming my housekeeper for being overzealous with her tidying up, when my grandson wanders in right next to me and blithely switches on the real computer, causing the peals of the Microsoft start-up fanfare to echo loudly through my very modest semi-detached!
DO-OH!!
(Still kept him going for over an hour )  |

Congrats! I love it when they call me and I waste their time. And then break the news to them that I'm on a Mac.
One of their "technicians" refused to believe me and said I was lying

This one checked very early to make sure I had Windows. Naturally, I would have said yes whatever
He ultimately called his 'supervisor', who took the phone and told me who he was, so I said, "You ought to train your people better. This one kept telling me to do something, then telling me it was wrong and telling me to do something else." The ill-mannered sod hung up on me!

It makes for a fun time when I accept a call on the headphones, begin talking and my ol lady walk in the room to say WHAT? Those are some fun times. I blame it on the maid. |
