It has been a while since I checked in. I recently received an email in my baiting account from an "old friend" that I strung along for over a year and successfully killed several of his and his "partners?" fake bank sites.
Our relationship ended due to a fabricated tragedy of a death in my family. I can't recall exactly why I dropped the ball but probably just got tired or bored or ran out of new excuses or too busy with real life.
I have now exchanged a few emails with him and reviewed the old emails to refresh my memory and it amazes me how much effort I put into the bait. So far he has not indicated he remembers anything. Is if possible he has been that busy the last few years that he really has no recollection? I have been out of it for so long I worry about making mistakes or contradicting things from the past. It is actually causing me anxiety!
I am questioning my sanity for even thinking of getting back into this again. It must be an addiction.
Maybe I should start with a new bait just to have some fun and polish up the tools?
I really have missed this group!

Yes, it's an addiction. Give in. This is one addiction with an upside: it causes the lads a lot of grief.

I've had this happen before, as one of my favourite techniques is to drop out of sight suddenly and not come back for months or even longer. Very often the responses seem to be like you describe, almost giving the impression the lad has amnesia. And often their new responses have a different tone, language use or whatever than they did before the gap. Dissociative identity disorder as well as amnesia?

My suspicion is that in some cases, dormant mailboxes are passed off to other (lower level) scammers to watch for activity. Could be you are talking with one of these guymen instead of whoever you were originally dealing with. In which case they don't remember anything (because they were not involved) and unlikely to waste a lot of time reading the email archive (if indeed they kept it).

And anyway, the lads don't care if your story is 100% internally consistent as long as they think there's some chance of getting money out of you. Therefore my suggestion is don't worry in the slightest about keeping any of the details straight.

Recently getting back into myself after a years hiatus. Things seem different to me as well. I am having a harder time getting past the lads wanting to see MTCN numbers. Some of there tactics seem trickier too. Still is fun though, and quite addictive also

I think I am getting there. Reported account to Alan, working on the fake bank now. Where do I get help with the fake job website? I don't know how to tell if it is just a link they use to send me to a legit site or if the site is fake.
How much per hour do we make here??

If you post the link to the possible fake job site here then someone will take a look at it.

You'll need to check you contract to see what your pay rate is, but I'm sure Rover is in the process of WU'ing your signing on bonus to you.
