This is just a rant, please feel free to ignore it.

I did a little due dilligence on a 'film finance broker' for a friend who asked me to - not only has he stitched up a Texan contact for £550,000, but he's also taken £20k from a charity (WalkOnceMore) to run a fundraising auction in Cannes during the film festival. He never held the auction, never attempted to repay the money, and brought the charity virtually to its knees financially. The charity took him to court (he never showed up) and recieved a judgement against him, and are starting bankrupcy proceedings.

His name is Matthew John, his company is (for the present) Olympus Productions Ltd. Scammers and crooks exist everywhere, lest we forget.

There's no greater high than helping a victim and screwing a scammer.

Pick up a few and take your pain out on them.

One only needs to watch what happens after a natural disaster - hurricane, earthquake, fire, flood, etc. - to see that scammers are everywhere. Evil or Very Mad

Just to elaborate, he's not been seen at the registered address in many months and the company books are 7 months overdue. I have it on authority that HMRC want a word with him too, and that he's now sleeping at his mothers house now nobody will go near him.

The hotmail address is still current though I gather, just in case anyone's interested!

Edit: Just in case anyone felt like baiting this gentleman I'd actually suggest efforts may be better directed towards scammers who were not currently in the process of being shut down legally through the courts. He will meet his sticky end, all the stickIer for the full weight of law and frankly HMRC know a thing or two about causing misery on a bigger scale than we probably could. There are plenty of scammers out there believing themselves beyond the law (and currently correct in their assertions, sadly)

^ wouldn't surprise me. I've seen a few like this who go around smiling the pants off people, making all the right noises and just bouncing from one fuckup to another.

If HMRC are on his case he is pretty much buggered; I would advise staying well back from this one as any supposed harrasment could be bought up in court and used as an excuse for this or that, and if he is half the manipulative little swine you say he is (and I don't doubt it) he will milk it inside out.
