Winter started early, first Tornados now Snow.

It started about 3-4 days back here in Ok. It isn't all that bad here at the moment though.

We've had a few Flurries and this morning a few more but tomorrow is supposed to be a real good one. Best find my Mr. Plow Jacket.

Only a dusting so far and with any luck the bigun coming this a way tomorrow will be rain, sleet but no snow. Very Happy

We got 6 inches a few days ago, and are expecting around 6-10 inches from this storm.

I hope it stays as snow, and not the freezing rain and sleet that others may see.

The Crap is really coming down now and I love it! Mr. Plow is ready for his Morning run although I did spend a couple hours Grinding/Welding/Re-Engineering my Swag so that it was possible.

Cold Weather get you down? Not me as once I'm done 'Playing' I can always throw another Stick in the Stove:

and winter's not even really here yet. I do remember tornados in January '07 I believe in Chicagoland and being stuck at O'Hare. Gotta love the Lakes

Just cold here, 23 F. but the otherside of Mitten is going to get hit with 6-10 inches of snow.

My new Wrangler is handling the snow well. I was really worried because of the bigger tires, but it's handled it great. I went from 225/75/15 to 255/75/17. Which is a big difference. Old Jeep had 28 inch tires, and this has 32. Definitely more clearance Smile

And the tires aren't so wide that they ride on top of the snow, but still "cut" right through it.

I'll have to get used to the electronic stuff that the new Jeep has (i.e., Electric Stability Control and Traction Control). I've never had that stuff on my other Jeeps. I heard those things take getting used to, as the "computer" tries to take over, so while I may be trying to take a corner, the computer may slow down spin to one tire because it thinks I'm sliding, even though I am not.

From my sister in Vermont, closing her store for the day to go hunt the elusive white tail deer (Norton is a little town in the middle of nowhere...):

"41 degrees & raining in Norton right now, 35 & foggy & sleet here at the store. Supposed to drop temp shortly and snow tonight. High tomorrow of 17, low tomorrow night of -1."

Yuck.

So cold in my place that I am sat here wearing outdoors clothes. A little while back, a pal called at the door. When I answered, he looked me up and down and said, "Oh sorry. I've caught you on your way out". I had to explain... Sad

It's a bit chilly here in Texas to, but nothing like you guys are getting. Freezing last 2 nights. We aren't used to it.

Currently 21F here (but feels like 16 according to my phone) - no snow in the city (had some last week but it was gone within a day), but the mountains have been covered for a couple of weeks.
