An unusual place where to scam: scam or not?

I am a 21-year old student. The possible scammereuse claims to be born in 1987 and work as a flight attendant in British Airways, with occasional extra activity as a model. Here's a link to her profile on Facebook:

Why unusual

We met on an online tennis game called Tennis Elbow 2013. This seems an odd place where to search for success. I'll tell you now what I know of her life.

English father, Asian (Philippine I believe) mother. A half-brother from her mum's side. Two previous relationships, one lasted two years, one less than a year. As an emplyee of British Airways she is stationed in London, Paris or Chicago.

Believable information

Why she could actually be real: She has sent me a lot of pictures, out of which several are very ordinary photos (taken outdoors or indoor). The others are mainly from fashion shows. Also, she displays an actual address on her Facebook page, I searched it on GoogleStreet and her house looks like something you'd see on Midsomer Murders.

Also, during the four months we've been interacting she hasn't even once asked me for any money or revealing photos. No stories of sick parents/relatives either.

Suspicious actions

She refused my proposal to try out Skype or webcamming. Her explanation was that her internet service provider charges her for using Skype. She also has declined to phone converse with me. Also, she is ignoring me lately.

My conclusions, what are yours?

I am under the belief that this is not a scammer but maybe a girl/guy who has way too much spare time so decided to play a romance prank.

I would be more inclined to go with scammer from the start. No phone or cam is not unusual in itself but no provider that I know of charges for skype. That is free on PC to PC connections if I remember right.

That photo on the front of Fakebook looks to be something of a pageant type with that little card at the waist. I couldn't get any hit on the image itself. It is not unusual for scammers to have a wide variety of photos from the person they are impersonating.

If you continue, it seems you are using real information so if anything like money comes up drop him immediately. no harm in talking with the person as long as it's casual chat. There are some very patient ones out there that might wait a year or so to build trust in the victim before springing the Money Me Now business. Just be careful if you continue.

The other photos that she's sent me are with very few makeup. Most of these are taken in a car or indoor building, one of them has a puppy included. She also speaks English much better than most of the scammer letters I have seen.

This thing unfortunately is not too casual, "we are serious", that means that we talk about our personal lives, we flirt etc. I am also not looking to trap scammers, rather I hoped to get some "expert info". To contact someone on some indy online game is a highly unusual step for me.

As for the verification, after she decided to suddenly ignore me for two weeks, I called her out on it. Her excuse (I think it's best for some distance, I can't concentrate during my work bla bla) didn't ring with me. I presented her with basically two options. Either regain my trust by engaging in a phone or webcam convo. Or I cut amicable communications.

Those photos of the girl in everyday life are not likely to pull up anything in a search. Have you tried searching (username/email addy + scammer) in Google or whatever search you use? There may be a posting somewhere already about him/her.

I don't know, just be careful. Go with your gut instinct. It was an unusual place where you met, but, you never know.

Don't be so quick to judge on the Skype/webcam/phone thing. I don't have a webcam, and don't want one. Sometimes I look just a mess and in my pajamas at 2 in the afternoon- no way would I go on a webcam! I don't even have a cell phone, my fiancé does, so if I need to make phone call I use his phone. I hate talking on the phone. Some people are forever linked to their cell phone and expect people to be immediately available no matter day or time. I refuse to join that culture.

Just be careful, might not be a scammer in that they will ask for money but may have other motives, such as identity theft or find out where you live and when they know you are out, may come a break into your house. Don't give her any personal/private information. Be as general in your answers as you possibly can. Just be safe in all you do.

I didn't see your second post before I hit submit. I would just drop her, even if it hurts, better to be safe than sorry.
