A friend of mine e-mailed me telling she met this guy by the name of Josh Lee from China on line and wanted to know what I thought. She could not find his picture anywhere on the interst so she thinks is not a scammer. I told her that is not necessarily so. There is a Josh Lee on Facebook but don't know if it is the same person.
I suggested she ask Scamwarners.

Not being able to find pictures is no guarantee it's not a scammer, they could be freshly stolen from somewhere or photoshoped to stop them matching.

If she posts on Scamwarners, she's going to need to give a lot more than just a name. Without links to profiles, or example emails and pictures it is impossible to tell if someone is a scammer or not.

He told you friend he's from china, but the profile says he's from either Paris or Orlando.

The profile was only recently set up.

Gina is lonely after Vicent turned out to be John. I have sent him a friend request. It is such a typical scammy page. Since Gina's John is 22 and swearing undying love it's embarrassing !

I need a diversion !

Absolutely--he is totally baitable, but a new thread would be best.

The good news though that we don't have to wait to see if he bites on anyone's line to assist the potential victim. He already made a fatal mistake that should be sufficient evidence to clarify that for her. Since this forum is not behind a login I don't want to point it out here.

I have finally convinced her that he is a scammer and she had severed all contact with him.
