Hi all

I am a newbie, so apologies in advance Embarassed

I have received a weird call on my mobile, when I answered there was a recorded message stating that there was a call waiting for my number and I was to hold on until the call was connected. I have tried to look up the number and it seems to crop up a bit, but usually "victims" state the the calls go dead when you pick up.

Is this something you may have heard of? I am concerned that there may be some scam either confirming my number as operational or placing call charges against my number? The number is 011 489 6000 (a Johannesburg, RSA number).
