Im a newbie I have a question. I have another bait going on right now (translation scam) and I was asked to send money via WU. I replied that I have no idea what this WU is and could I make the transfer via regular bank. I was sent name and a bank account number.
Is this information of any importance?
I mean, the name has to be real in order to have a bank account... |

The name is probably real enough.. HOWEVER, I am sure it would be from Identification stolen from someone that was scammed. Ask for them to send you a photo document -governemnt issued - like a passport - VIA EMAIL to prove who they are. ANd use a disposable email account, gmail is a good one, there are a few more I can't think of right now (just now having coffee) but documents first. But remember if you send them anything via your own accoount they will most likely get YOUR account information.
Good luck |

If it look sreal send the information and the email with headers to [email protected]. A very nice man who will attempt to shut the account down for you. I'm having great fun harvesting accounts and getting them removed from the scammers. |

I think it might be real because I wrote him/her/it that I tried to make a bank transfer but I did not succeed, could the name be misspelt? And they answered that there is no mistake in the receiver's name and I should try once more.
Thanks for the mail address, I'll send the info to Alan.

Since you have sent the info to Allen then you are done with that account. So I would suggest, becuase it has worked for me, to wait a couple of days, then email them back saying something along the lines of - Hey the bank just told me the transfer couldn't go through and that the account is closed/monitored/terrorist's/etc . What is going on? Did you know of any problem with this account? I am still wanting to send the money, is there another account that I can send it too? - And more than likely they will apologise, amke up some excuse how that isn't really their account and send more bank details.
Now you may be able to get away with this a couple of times depending on the intelligence level of your lad. This worked 3 times for me with one of the hitman scams. Just keep him tied up and away from real victims. |

I wrote to Alan about the bank account and he told that he'll see if he can do anything about it.
Just to update - so I wrote to the Translation Agency Toros (I wonder why they dont have a web page...), and asked if they could send me the copy of the manager's passport. And I was sent this:
from tamara <[email protected]>
reply-to tamara <[email protected]>
to "XXX" <[email protected]>
date Jun 27, 2007 4:17 PM
subject From "Toros".
Dear Sir,
Thank you for your letter. We bring our apologies for the delay in our
answer but there were some technical problems which caused the
postponement. Here is the our manager's ID as you asked and we send
you the scan of this document.
We hope for our future cooperation.
Respectfully,
"Toros".

Very secure passports they have in Ukraine I must say
Does anyone know if they really have passports like that?
All right off I go to slap the vlad for not writing me for five days.
PS. I wonder why I cant post the photo directly here... :S
Mod Edit: selmabouvier, you were using the wrong code.
In Fotki you need to do the following:-
Go to share photo
Then HotLink this image
Then copy all of the code from within the box BBCODE photo for forums:
Paste that into your post here.
(I've done it for you in this post [BB] |

I don't know as much about fake banks and web sites as a lot of people here, but ft-continental.com looks very suspicious to me. And I find it difficult to believe that any manager for a legitimate company is in the habit of emailing passports around.
I'm sure one of the members who knows more about that stuff will be along soon.
If it's fake and you kill it, and you can claim a nice flag for your sig. |

Hi !
I'm new on this website ! I've been doing scambaiting for monthes without knwowing that it does exist !
Well, about the Ukrainian passports, they have two different kinds : the national passport, which is the equivalent of an id card, and the international passport, which looks like any other countries' passports. This one is the national passport. I've been married with a ukrainian girl (yes, they are not all scammers !) and I remember her national passport to look like this one, so I guess it's a genuine one.
PS : I'm french, I apologize for my English grammar mistakes... |

Now. It may just be me, but I stall a couple of days with a ruse. After the pain of the ITV5 site they go for a bank transfer, then I tell them the best way to avoid more ITV5 action is to join a casino... I have a fake form I send them.
This delay is just enough for the bank to get taken down. Then the games start all over again! |

hey, i`m new here, i just found out about the scaambaiting scene,
just because a close friend of mine was scammed by such a figure.
he lost 2000 euro`s in the process..
actually, i cant blaim him, he fell for the lovescam from russia. he was completely baffeld when he stood at the airport waiting... and noone showed up...
still a bit stupid to take this risk, i was mad at him and of course the scammer, and decided to do somthing about it, so i`m trying out my first scambaiting efforts... with little succes,
i was searching the net for a emailaccount and sure enough i found this thread.. actual this is from a aproach from a datingsite. [email protected] aproached me because my profile looked so good
funny, same mailadress as above
oh yeah, if someone knows more about ekaterina kalinina from russia
that the gal/guy who scammed my mate...
greetings, and 3 thumbs up for all scambaiters out there.... |
