Phil is a hell of a lot smarter than Imus. I would like to see an artist backed by a station with money and lawyers ready to stand up to the FCC. I don't even think it would be a fight. No one has challenged them ever, it seems like. Although the current climate here in America has turned into a mass of fat stupid Religious Idiots..... OOPS... DEAD THREAD WALKING!!!

According to the Phil Hendrie Website, there is a panel that says coming to trn-fm on june 25th and it will be on from 10PM-1AM which fits into my schedule quite nicely.

For those comedy fans who do not know about Phil, I reccommend checking out philhendrieshow.com and listening to the free clip... or subscribe for a month and listen to thousands of hours of bits. Also a great parallel to baiting somewhat because the unwitting listeners get "baited" into calling in and trying to soapbox their opinions to the show's "guests" all the while not realizing the obvious humor therein. An example: Guest Herb Sewell, a convicted child molester, calls the show to explain that He likes to eat at Chucky Cheese because "they really have the best pizza around" ! or, Jay Santos of the "Citizens Auxillary Police" (Where every member holds the rank of at least Sub Commander) who initates a "Flare Drop" during the Beltway Sniper period to pull over cars and let a belt sander "Dance across the finish" to make sure Your car hasn't been repainted lately. And of course the calls roll in from listeners who want to tell Jay what they would do to him if He tried that ! Like a great baiter, the "Guests" are completely void of normal reason and the callers-in always leave the line completely unable to make their points heard.

And the best part? Phil doing 3, 4, 5 voices at a time so effortlessly, even knowing that He is doing all these voices (but not the callers-in) you can "see" every character as if they were right in front of your face!

The amazing thing is, at the beginning of his show (and several times throughout) he makes a clear statement the he is, in fact, doing all of the voices of his 'guests'. And yet, people still call in and argue with his characters! Shocked

Now if I can just figure out what the hell TRN-FM is!
