For those using torpark,

My virus scanner has detected Torpark V2.0.0.3a as a trojan
http://www.viruslist.com/en/viruses/encyclopedia?virusid=160183

At this stage I am UNSURE if its a false positive, this post is to alert people there may be an issue as many now use it as a proxy.

Sometimes legitimate programs get flagged by virus scanners as trojans for some reason.
My neice was over the other day and wanted to install that piece o' crap IMVU rubbish to talk to her friends or something, so I let her fiddle ith my laptop. AVG classed it as a trojan, so I went online and found out it was an issue, and to get IMVU to work you have to turn off the virus scanner. Which I wouldn't do.
Anyway just try googling it. That maybe the problem.
Or maybe we're all done for. Meh.

I'd hope that Torpark isn't a virus, as it is listed as a good program to have to surf anonymously (proxy) in last months MaximumPC magazine.

Well ive googled it, there are numerous mentions of it being a false positive, however with a virus scanner showing an alert we need to know its safe or not safe, i think it probably is a false positive but i dont know so to err on the side of caution anyone else using other scanners such as mcafee norton/ bit defender blackice showing anything? or AVG?

Hardly surprising when you consider that torpark is for circumventing internet censorship such as China has.
