Have to admit, video editing on a Mac is a complete doddle for this editing newbie, compared to the PC. My Mac now has pride of place in my upstairs mini-office, and is used solely for video and important Photoshop work only Smile

95% of the other drudgery is still done on my PC.

When Windows ME works, it's as good as 98. I never had a problem with it, but many people have. Persevere, SP, it's only a learning curve.

There are only a few programs that run on all 4 duo cores...one being compressor which I use every day to encode DVDs, web movies, etc. for clients. So that is really great for me....means more time for baiting Very Happy

Plus Final Cut Studio 2 is coming in a week and this box will really be able to maximize its full potential. I do a lot of color correction for film and video and their new Color Grading program is pretty impressive.

On a side note...it surprises me there are so many Mac haters. I used to own a PeeCee a long long time ago. Makes me cringe thinking about it. I like being able to fix my own computer when there is a problem.

Maybe I will change the title of this thread to "Dude, Im getting a Dell" Laughing

@battery use bootcamp and windows, 3d studio max will run no problem.
@Big worm, the mac haters here are all just jealous, maybe they get turned on by sorting out windows problems day in day out and love catching viruses, spyware etc.
