So I go to a Western Union site in a drug store today to send a legitimate transfer to my brother-in-law, who happens to live in a scammer hotspot. So I have a long wait--not because this employee is concerned about scamming, but because she clearly has no idea what she is doing--up to the point where I want to jump over the counter and do her job for her. So since I have lots of time to wait for the transaction to clear while clueless clerk resets my sending country to Afghanistant (???), I notice that WU has a $50,000 prize to go to someone who sends money between certain dates.

So I fantasize that WU calls me to tell me I've won $50,000.

Then, the fantasy goes awry, as they tell me there are processing fees, which I need to send via Western Union...
