I've been here nearly a year and only just really started baiting (I think my main problem has been lack of imagination and being not very good at lying Rolling Eyes

). I'm getting the hang of it now though Very Happy

(but I still think killing fake sites is easier)
I'm just curious as everyone else seems to be deeply into baiting...

Edit: There was going to be an option 5 - something to do with goats - but someone voted before I could edit it Sad

hhmm...interesting question. I have to say, that I don�t bait all the time, and then get back to it again.
I guess it is normal to sometimes take a small break from it. Right now I am having a few baits running, but mainly straight baits.
If I get tired of them, I let them wait a few weeks and then come back to them giving them an excuse like " I had an accident" or so, and soon they are back on the hook....
I am not good in trophy baiting at all, so I do some straight baiting instead and enjoy the work and the company of the other great baiters here Smile

Baiting is a lot like making love to a beautiful woman. You want to do it as often as possible and make it last as long as you can. And if you can have 2 or 3 at the same time it just adds to the excitement.

I straight bait all the time,wanted to try for trophies as well, so I'm baiting quite a few at the moment, waisting time of as many as poss, while I stayed on the lookout for that very special, really, really, stoopid mugu.
It paid off!! I got someone writing his autobiography for me at the moment...

Occasionally. Used to bait all the time, but recently got addicted to a new drug, World of Warcraft, so I dont have the tiem anymore lol

I bait as much as time allows. I started with lottery baits, but they twig quite early. I had a good one, but have not been able to get another lottery scammer on the hook so deep. I have since turned to check mule baiting. It is quite simple, and easy to hook them once you get the check.

I usually keep one main bait (when I find a good pet) and a few ticking over in the wings. I bang off quite a few replies to new scam mails with the attitude of ' O.K. Let's see how this reply goes' just to keep learning as to what works and what doesn't. I usually straight bait as I find I can keep them going longer. The trophies I go for are bank details. Cool

I did one long bait (I think it was over half a year), then I got bored, and did a few, but after a week I would forget... Sometimes checking my email a month later, and trying to get it started again, and then forgetting by the next day.

A straight bait doesn't take much effort. I've got fourteen (v)lads on the books at the moment and can keep them all happy with a round of e-mails a day; less than an hour's work.

I probably waste a lot more time on here reading about other people's baits (our collective wit is wasted on our scammers) and working out interesting new modalities.

I've just gotten back into it after a few years absence, other things happening in the real world.
Trying to keep it under some control or I'd get too many running at once and lose track.
So currently one about 10 days in and playing straight and working to hook another 2 maybe. Also have a special project in mind but needs a special lad to bite so out trolling for my attempt at a masterpiece.

Play a while, give it a rest, come back, play again.
There will always be lads waiting, quite often the same ones . . . Rolling Eyes

I need to tick several options.

I bait lottery lads for the minor trophy of the winners certificate but mainly to get their fake websites and bank accounts.

I straight bait until I sense that nothing more will be achieved then I get a bit weird and finally I "find out" about the scam, tell them and then drop them.

Afraid it's 'occasional' for me. Real Life has priority at the moment. Can you believe it?? I seem to pick really high maintenance lads and unfortunately I just can't commit the time and resources. But I do my bit wherever I can Wink

I've tried my hand at it... it doesn't suit me. I read these forums to stay informed though, if I learn something here maybe I can use this information to help someone I actually know. Luckily I havn't had to be the bearer of bad news to any friends or kin. But the extra awareness is always a good thing.

And sure... I could use a good laugh or two at times Smile

I always have a few going. Usually sending out lots of emails to weed out those who don't 'play'. But I always bait.
