Greetings,

This started out as a typical fake cheque scam that went wrong very quickly. Usually, the name calling / cursing dies down very quickly, but I've been able to get this fellow going back and forth for days now.

I seem to recall a "say hi" forum here, but I don't see it anymore, so I thought I'd invite everyone to pass their regards on to:

Also, I can't seem to be able to find those phones I've seen referred to here (with the anonymous SIM chips) in Canada. If someone would like to call this mugu, his number is 1-514-571-6339. If you could wind him up for me, I'd really appreciate it.

If anyone knows how I could get a phone myself, I'd even appreciate it more.

I use the cheapest cellphone I can find that uses pre-paid cards. Here in the US, I go to Wal-Mart and buy the phone for $19 - $30 USD. The phone card will cost another $25. There's gotta be a similar product in Canada.

Since the phone uses pre-paid cards, no one really knows who is operating the phone. There's no frills like text messaging or a camera, but you don't need 'em anyways. If you get a little paranoid, you can quit using the phone at anytime without paying out the contract.

This is the most expensive thing I buy for scambaiting habit and I've found it indispensible for getting trophies from check scammers.

Any prepaid mobile that allows you to top up with cards bought anywhere, like drugstores, gas stations etc.
Only ever pay cash for your cards, register online with fakey details using an fakey email account that you set up just for that purpose.

Check the cost of incoming calls-incoming calls on a mobile in the uk are free, you pay to receive calls in the us, but i don't know about canada.

I have been using tossabledigits.com Great way to do it for free (mugu has to enter an extension) or 4.00 /month for 10 digit numbers. They also have a setup feature that asks the call his name, and then calls you to ask if you want to talk to them, great for getting into character.
