I think the world should know of the refugee's plight so that something can be done, don't you? Maybe once we get you out of there we can do something to help the others.

Well the only problem is that the lawyer wanted me to send the money using western union but I'm onboard my ship and I don't have anyway to do that and I told him that. If he's a legit lawyer then he should have a business account that I can make a bank transfer into. That's the only way I can do this I'm afraid. I will send the request to my banker as soon as he gives me the information. I emailed him this morning but he's not emailed me back. Are you sure he can be trusted? I'm not sure how long an international transfer will take but it can't be more than a few days. If the judge is going to be in court on Tuesday then the lawyer is just either going to have to postpone it or go and then accept our payment after.

^^^ Yeah it can be hard to get more then 2 piggy's from them. That's why I usually drop them after 2. I say something like, I'm sorry but I've had a medical emergency and I won't be able to help after all. I'm really sorry! Then just stop responding to them. They go away eventually!

I saw some of our new members were struggling with getting their first piggy's and since the rich refugees seem so willing to hand them out in Senegal I thought I'd help!

I'm not done with Malta just yet. When I got around to telling the lawyer there was a problem with the account he emailed me back and said it was because he had left off the IBAN #. Yeah I'm pretty sure that's not it! Lol I'll email him back tomorrow and hopefully he'll cough up a new one.

From the above posts, I too only bait the Darlings to the second bank account. I usually just drop them without any reason why. Sometimes I'll get a follow-up scam from them saying they have found new love and are now in Paraguay with all of their millions but have left a sizeable check for you with the Reverend.

The Refugee scammer project was setup to be as much an intelligence gathering project as it was to get Bank Accounts to report. The intelligence part of the bait is what I post at a Scam Warning Site like ScamWarners.

As far as the actual bait of the Darlings, I just do as they ask me to. If they say contact the Banker, I do. If they say Contact the Lawyer, I do. My replies are generally short and to the point. If I'm contacting a new character I usually but not always send a CC to the Ladette so they know I have done as they have asked. Once I reach the character that asks for the money by WU is when I finally say that I will not do it and insist on a Bank account.

I've been straigh baiting these too, being nice and playing along until I get to the WU point then I tell them I can't because of my job. I get the account, ask for a new one, drop them and start with a new one. All the while, posting all of it at SW. I didn't know there was already a thread going!

I don't know of an intelligence gathering thread here at Eater. It sounds like you and I are doing the same work and just reporting the information we gather at different warning sites.

I try to remember to add a star to the E-mails from the Ladette:
1. Where the Ladette claims to have all that money stashed away.
2. Where the Ladette asks me to contact her Banker.
3. Where the ladette asks me to contact her lawyer.
It makes it easier to find them later when I'm reporting the information. I download all of the documents and photos onto a USB drive. I open a new folder for each of my baiting characters and then open a folder inside the coprrect folder with each Scammers name to keep the docs and pics seperated.

It seems that keeping organized on the front end of baiting helps save time at the back end of the bait. I file my reports at the warning site when I get my first piggy from the Darling and then add a link to the warning report when I file the bank account through the Premium Portal.

Kaz's laddette (same as Vic), Sussan gave him same bank account as what bank attorney gave him. I don't think it is effective to use same method as Vic to ask another bank account. I will drom Sussan. Just sent both girl and attorney broken files as bank slips. No reply.

I have been sending broken files to the Lotto Lads lately. It's easier than actually doing a fake payment slip. I set it up though:
1. I tell the Lawyer or Ladette that I have never owned a scanner and will need to find or buy one.
2. I tell them that I bought one and send the bad file. (Once in a while for fun I'll tell them early in an E-mail that I'm attaching the file then don't attach one (Forgetful me)).
3. They'll usually come back saying I didn't send any file. so I send the broken one.
4. When they complain that the file isn't working I tell them I will go to the bank and ask them to help me get a scan of the slip.
5. The next day they get:

Kaz is old man. Most likely he has no skills on scanning documents. In addition, he does not ho out and let the care worker help transfer money. He has care worker helping around daily. The care worker has son at 20's, who is a kind of paranoid who over cares about privacy issue. He has habit to shredder all bank slips. The scan copy in his PC not belong to him was deleted after copied to Kaz's USB. Care worker is busy woman. Dropped the USB memory in toilet while cleaning and spoiled, after she copied the file to Kaz's PC. So no original slip and scan copies exists.

How's this???
