I thought about mailing him as Johanna as well but I'm afraid he'll know it's me writing him. I can't change my English that much, it's not my mother tongue. From time to time, he's very attentive. First, I need more practice before I start to mail with two characters at a time. Polly's mails were not written by me. Laughing

She agreed. Well, the cab driver drove back to our house where we met Johanna. She paid the cab driver and the nurse and opened our house. Honey, I don't feel safe in here. I calles some craftsmen to change all locks. They should arrive in a few minutes. Oh honey, in my handbag there were my passport, my driver license, my credit card, my EC card, the money, my keys, my mobile.... Just everything.... I did a few calls now to block everything. And I was at my bank again. Although they know me, they are not allowed to hand me any money that I wanna withdraw from my account. So, I filled out a form to submit money to Johanna. She will withdraw it on Monday and give it to me. I need to go to the police again to get a new passport, then to a special governmental institution to get a new driver license and so on. Oh, sweetheart, I can't submit any money with western union before I have my new passport. I'm so sad right now. Honey, I was all tears as we drove back. It was too much for me. I was so happy before and then I realized that nothing's gonna be fine soon enough for me. Honey, what can I do now????? And I hope that this issue doesn't have any consequences for you. Understood! You do very well. When you're ready to practice, perhaps your second character could speak English but mix in your native language to confuse him. Possibly keeping the emails short & to the point will help too. Sometimes just changing the structure of the email helps as opposed to the language.

A stupid tip for changing characters language: don't use spell check in one, use it the other. I'm a terrible typist, all I need to do is not "spell check" or proof read the post and it sounds like a different person.

On Sunday, I didn't receive any mail from him, so I decided to sign in to check whether he's online... And yeah!!

Today morning, I used another mail address to inform him about a tragic situation... Originally, I wrote it in German but translated it for the purpose of this forum. Well, I'll be on vacation in a few days... That's why I'm in coma now. Razz

Dear Mr. C,

my name is R and I am a nurse in the emergency room of the university hospital in the middle of Berlin. Last night, Ms. CF was rushed to the emergency room with us. As I was looking in her purse for Ms. F's insurance card, I found a card with your contact information and the note "to be notified in an emergency".

Since you are only Ms. F's fiancé, I can only tell you that she was admitted with a shot in the stomach and is in a coma after a complicated surgery that lasted several hours. The police is still investigating, but currently believes that Ms. F left the club at a bad time, before she was found by the taxi driver she ordered.

I regret to inform you that we currently can not predict when Ms. F will regain consciousness. If you can make it, it would certainly be good if you could stand by her side in this difficult time.

As it seems he doesn't believe the whole story, my dear friend J (me again) wrote a mail to him as well - in German. But first, CF received another mail from him. As he didn't understand my mail in German, I wrote again in English.

CF is not ok, she is unconscious and laying in the intensive care unit. The nurse told me that it would be better to stay at her side. I cannot do that now as I did it last time. However, we tried to organize everything. I will be at her side the coming week and Bianca will be there afterwards as I will be leaving for some family festivities. The nurse did not want to tell me much about CF's health condition. She only said CF is seriously hurt. Did she tell you more?
The police officers said she called a cab and left that party. The cab driver found her laying on the ground with a shot in her stomach. All of CF's friends are really shocked now and Karsten is blaming himself for leaving the party very early and not bringing her home. He called me after the police visited him and asked thousands of questions. They are asking all of her friends now what might have happened. I remember that there was news about that part of town. As far as I remember it was about two gangs.
I am very sad that this happened as I know she was very happy yesterday afternoon.

What a day. I went to the hospital early morning and met by chance one of the police officers investigating about that shot. I convinced him to give me the contact details of the cab driver's company. I found the cab driver and thanked him for calling the emergency immediately. He said he was really shocked and he could remember that CF uttered your name before she began to cough and her mouth was full of blood. I am very sorry to write that. I was more than shocked as he told me about. I thanked him again, in your name as well. I hope you do not mind?
Moreover, I talked to that nurse again. She told me that this situation is a very special one and she is allowed to tell me more about CF's health condition as there are no relatives. I am still trying to calm down and to think positively. I hope you do understand me as I am not sure how to write that. Her inner organs are very damaged and it is not clear whether she will survive. Chances are 50/50. The doctors tried everything they could to stitch everything up. She is still in coma and laying in the intensive care unit. Even if she wakes up they will keep her in coma to ensure that she does not move until every suture should be healed. However, they do not expect her to wake up soon. As I think she might be able to hear me I told her about your greetings and wishes and I told some funny stories to distract myself from that bad situation. For security reasons, there is a police officer standing in front of her room as they are not sure if she was shot willingly or by chance.
The nurse asked me to talk to you about a "Patientenverfügung". Is "living will" the right word? CF officially issued a form called living will. Its purpose is to enable somebody else to decide which actions should be performed to keep her alive or - in case, there is no hope left - to decide to shut down the equipment keeping her alive. I do not know if you are aware that she put your name in that living will? The nurse just wanted you to know about it and to think about what you might decide in case your decision is needed. We both think CF really trusts and loves you, otherwise she would not have put your name in the living will.

You might have misunderstood me. It is not her last will, it is just a form she filled in to enable you to decide about the treatments she gets in case the doctors are not allowed to decide it without further questioning you as long as she is in coma. Do you understand what I mean? I am sure she will not die but you might be forced to decide something in her name.
Polly contacted you? Who gave her your mail address? I am surprised. CF told me she has no contact to Polly anymore. To be exact, Polly is not one of my friends although I know her. What do you mean by saying she knows about the gunshot?

Thank you for your mail. CF is still unconscious. However, I strongly believe that she will hear what I am telling her. Of course, I will greet her and let her know that you are unhappy with her situation.
The doctors said that the chances for her recovery will get better with every day she survives. They also said that it will take a long time. I know she was very happy before she left for the party. I assume she will fight to survive and to fully recover.
As I told you, I will not be able to visit her in the next few weeks as I have to travel to some family festivities I cannot cancel or move. I am leaving on Monday. Bianca and another friend will stay at CF's side these days. Unfortunately, they cannot speak English. I will talk to them every day and if I have the chance to do so, I will keep you up-to-date. Of course, I will inform you immediately when her condition changes significantly. In case, you would like to know something, please do not hesitate to send me a mail. I visited CF again and talked to the doctors. She is still unconscious but the doctors are quite confident now as there seem to be no complications so far. However, they will keep her unconscious for a while to ensure her recovery. Meanwhile, she is not as pale as she was on Monday. I strongly believe she will recover.

Sorry for not writing earlier but I did not have any time due to these family festivities.
I talked to Bianca regularly and she told me that CF is better now. The doctors woke her up but she was too restless and tried to stay up to leave the hospital. Bianca said CF wanted to leave to get something done for you. But the doctors were very concerned about her health and decided to keep her unconscious until it is safe enough to wake her up again. They said there might be internal bleeding if she moves too early. Bianca told me that she greeted CF from you as I asked her to do so in case CF wakes up. CF was happy about and asked her to greet you too.

I just returned from my visit at my grandmother's house in the middle of nowhere. I had neither internet access nor could I use my mobile. However, I managed to talk to Bianca every day. She told me that the doctors kept CF still unconscious but plan to wake her up tomorrow. It should be safe enough now. Honey, I'm so glad you're fine. I was very worried if something bad happened to you. Thank you so much that you include me in your prayers. I do everything that the doctors and the nurses tell me. It's really not easy to stay in bed all day long. Somehow, my friends managed to arrange their schedules in a way that I'm hardly alone. And they're quite creative how to keep me busy. Bianca gave me a crochet hook and wool and tought me how to crochet while J gave me Sudokus and some books. Time's passing not that slow but the nights are awful. The only thing that keeps me in bed is that I wanna be cured very fast to be able to meet you. I love you so much, honey, and I miss you so badly. Please take care of yourself for me!

Honey, I love you so much! I can't stop thinking of you. The doctors just said that it seems as if I'd do everything to recover as fast as possible and as if I'd like to leave the hospital as soon as possible. Well, they're right. Honey, you know what! On Monday, they'll decide when I can leave! There will be a very detailed examination again and I have to pass an MRT examination. Afterwards, they'll discuss the results and tell me what will happen next. Honey, please keep your fingers crossed! I can't wait any longer to see you, to touch you, to feel your hands, lips and your whole body.
I'm so sorry, I wasn't online yesterday but there were so many visitors that I hardly kept my eyes open after having supper. I only hope I can be online today evening. In a few minutes the therapist will do some exercises with me and we'll surely walk. Honey, there are some network problems now. I hope the connection will be stable enough to sign in today evening.

Honey, these times to eat in hospital are very strange. At 8 am we have breakfast, at noon lunch, at 2 pm a piece of cake and a cup of coffee or tea and at 6 pm we have supper. But when I don't sleep around 8 pm, I always feel hungry around 9 pm. That makes me crazy cause I can't sleep when I'm hungry. Oh my dear.... It's time to leave the hospital... Well, I try to think positively and wait for the examinations and results on Monday. Honey, please keep your fingers crossed for me.
