I think it's because of what we do and how we help each other. In any given thread, someone jumps in to help another baiter, whether it be advice, a phone call to a lad, or something like that.
And folks here are friendly. There aren't any factions (at least not that I can see), and no backstabbling or insulting one another.
And it's easy to make friends here. Maybe not a friend you will meet in person, but maybe via email and Skype. I've talked with plenty of folks here and emailed and they're like family to me.
And I think a huge reason is because Eater doesn't allow political discussion. Years ago I lost some "friends" on a forum because of the political discussions and social issue discussions. I've since learned to never discuss politics or religion to any friends in real life, and especially at a bar. |
