I had a vegetable garden for over 60 years until last year. Now I let the supermarket grow it for me. No more hassle with blight, bugs, critters, cut worms, too much rain, not enough sun. Yadi yadi. Very Happy

^ I seem to remember them having a whole line of hair care tonics, aftershave and other personal care items. But, you are correct, after shave was their bread and butter. I was an Old Spice guy myself.

As long as we're talking bright sun-shiny stuff here. It's a possiblity of reaching 50F today here in the Mitten. Probably the warmest temp since last December.

I am ready to dig in the dirt. Nothing better after a long winter to have some fresh air and do something productive. I have no idea when I will actually see the ground again so I can figure out what i want to do. I had a new deck put on last year, will need plenty of dirt and lots of new plants. And somehow some way I have to figure out how to grow tomatoes without losing them to rot and the critters

I started my indoor seed bed on Tuesday. Just some Jalapenos and Cayenne peppers right now. I'm planting some more greens this week, though.

I have 5 clematis, PF! Some need to be cut all the way back and some grow on old wood, depends on the type. My biggest problem was learning what type they were, as I did not keep the tags or someone gave to me. They are pretty easy for me to grow and I'll help all I can. Oh, they like food! Wink

I'm ready for some pretty days to get out and get the hands dirty. Very Happy

Wish I had a garden or even a balcony. Instead I have to put up with living in a two bedroom kennel. One bedroom for me and one for the two dogs when they're not sharing my bed and bedroom with me.

At least I still have some of the Red Hot Pokers that I plated a few years ago. Nobody else has been able to get them to grow so I get people stopping by all the time trying to steal seeds from the plants.

I had some Cleomes growing in front of the porch but they either died out or the missus killed them. She has killed all of my house plants.
