A few years after my mum died my step father found somebody on the internet, He told me about her and how she came from Africa, I clued him up on romance scams as a warning and warned him that she could well ask for money soon and he defended her honour saying she wasn't like that, A few days later he contacted me to say I was right Shocked

I just found out the other day someone tried to use someone I know as a money mule when she first came to the country and didn't speak much English. Luckily someone alerted her to the issue before she did anything with it.

A Friend/Co-Worker has been going through a somewhat complicated separation as of late where things seemed okay but then went sour. First the phone was cut off; some Bank accounts disappeared, a bit of Insurance troubles and other such things. The Ex got a knot in her face and started to make his life somewhat miserable.

Today while a work I hear him yell out that his BMO account was compromised and after a bit I went to see if I could be of assistance. You see the poor guy who is very technically literate and logical but happens to be having a very bad run of life lately. Luckily I was able to talk him out of putting all of his personal details into a Phishing scheme.

He admitted later that he doesn’t even have a BMO account. Shit happens to the best of them so I’m glad I was there.
