No need to bail out, just realize that the first time you come to visit, you probably shouldn't suggest rearranging the living room furniture, even if it is a bit ratty and cluttered.

Things could be better organized here, I'm sure. I'm interested in your perspective on the forum as a newcomer and you're welcome to give us that feedback. But understand that we're not actually professionals (we all do this in our spare time), and giving us that "constructive feedback" several times is what resulted in the defensiveness you're seeing.

Stick around, and as I've said several times, let us know how we can help you understand what's here, and where to find it.

You should have used safety crayons and paper glue for your metaphors. I am a database programmer and I am very meticulous and I must say that I am confused on plm's remarks about the organization of this board.

I am a new member here and I have been welcomed with open arms. I have never been to a forum where the members are so selfless, kind, welcoming and most of all, they are here for no other reason than to make sure a person, who they do not know, will not get scammed. Can things be updated here and there, sure; but until I myself am willing to do that or offer a solution, I will keep my mouth shut and enjoy my new friends and have some fun!

I didn't know this website/group has been on TV. To quote a favorite line around here... "Am confuse?".

Fair comments. You have a community that will expand as I am sure based on the TV exposure and that can only be good. I personally think you`ll lose many first timers with the instant banana and/or strange other posts in general forums (and cross posts).... but not my domain as you say and I`m no way a contributing member so not going to get upset me.

Hasn't really happened that way in the past. Expansion and contraction occurs naturally.
You see, we're not a new forum. We've been tried and tested many times before and will be tested again in the future.

We are actually pretty intelligent and organized here. It's unfortunate that your introduction involved you reading what is probably the most nonsensical thread here (the one with all of the bananas). As Ima said, the work we do gets very intense, and if we don't blow off some steam once in a while, burnout strikes. We're all friends here, and like I said, we play just as hard as we work. Our beloved warners are on the front lines tending to victims, we sitekillers are trying desperately to get sites shut down before there are more victims, etc. (I don't know what the rest of you lot do, but I'm sure it's equally important. Razz

) And then there's PF, our Chief Morale Officer. Laughing

All in all it's one big boisterous, rowdy family. And I wouldn't have it any other way. I know that if I run into something I'm unfamiliar with or can't solve, I can throw it out there and somebody comes running. It's all kinds of awesomeness. ♥

And welcome Ty, you'll fit right in!
