Has anyone upgraded to Windows 10 yet? I dualboot linux and windows on my PC but I don't know if its worth upgrading to it as I mainly use linux. Are there any problems or issues or has it been plain sailing (if you upgraded) ? |

Yep, I upgraded without any issues.
Did a clean install afterwards and I intend to set up my dual boot with xubuntu too. |

After reading what the privacy issue and stuff and people having issues and what not....its actually kind of scary.
I mean Windows 10 looks good no doubt but under the hood is bad juju and bad news. I mean intrusion settings on by default? That is just creepy yo. I was hoping Windows 10 was going to be the next big thing but man was I wrong.
In actuality I want to downgrade to Windows 7 lol....Windows 8 does get annoying sometimes. |

There's no way I'm trading up. I'll stick with 7 and various Linux distros just due to some of my industry needs. |

^ Ever since windows said with 8 "hey let's make our OS more like a smart phone" ......... it just went down hill for heavy end users that utilize the heavier software and do heavier coding. |

I would say Windows 10 - is back to say XP or 7 -
Desktop is back in the forefront...
So I think they returned back to that.. I always worked from the desktop in 8.x anyways..
I think it takes the best from XP/7 and the few few things 8.x was god at.. and mixed them..
Just got to turn off the P2P way to get upgrades...
I haven't used anything more powerful than Tableau so far on Windows 10.. |

yep, 4 pc's upgraded to 10 in the last 2 days.
All with no problems.
I can now see how to power off my PC for the first time in a year.
Things are easier to find back like win7 but with tweaks. |

Windows 8 is where a certain company lost the intuitive functions. I hate it. When I recently had a new oS put on my desk top, I was able to get IT to find an old version of 7. Now, I have to deal with the up-grade. Grrrr. |

I upgraded my laptop to 10 from 8 because- Well- Because of Windows 8...
So far I like it OK. I haven't used Edge yet. Sticking with Chrome... |

If you go from windows 8 to windows 10 do you lose stuff you have on your computer, in particular pictures, online gaming and saved stuff from online. |

Back up everything, bobbybobby, to an external source FIRST, before any upgrade. But you have been doing your regular backups, anyway, so probably a moot point. ??
