I had a profile on finnish date site and one lad from US was interested about me. Because I haven´t been in those sites for ages I was unaware of these scams. First I believed in him but he fell for me too quickly and that kept me suspicious all the time. I send here his emails and hope that you get connection to other scams. I have noticed that he has victims...unfortunate.

Explaining, building the story.... blaablaa. I have to admit that this guy made up carefully his profile and story. Telling me all the things he thought I might want to hear. He thought it´s that I´m uninterested when I told him that he is going to fast saying he want to live with me forever.

Suddenly I felt somehow stupid what I´ve told him about and told him that I felt stupid. And now he tells me about his "late wife" some sob story that sounded corny even then when I read it.

This happened for like 6 months and we fell so deeply in love with each other even when we have not met physically. In fact i have to tell you the truth i even proposed to her on phone before i returned
back to states and made my proposal official with a ring. We got married on the 8th month and that was two months after my return from Scotland.
I will proudly tell you that we were happily married for 18 years before she died, we would have still been married today if not for her death, she was not just my wife, she was also my friend, best friend, sister which i never had.

The last word that she said that broke my heart and made me think that no woman could ever be like her was the word that she said on her sick bed before she died,she asked me to do things that will make me happy. She said and I quote ?I am dieing a happy woman Kelly, so be happy, why is your face sad when I am happy. Then I made my last error. Changing this chatting to my real email. As I´m a cautious person I started this conversation in my new email address. But I trusted some how (and same time those bells tingling in my ears) and wanted to continue in my main email. Well. If he still sends me something it´s easy to delete anyway.

And now sudden change to plans. Rejoice! He got a profitable contract in Africa!! Wee! Of course I understand that he can´t come this weekend. But he will come next weekend. Sure sure....

Good a thing, i am almost rounding up with this job here, the inspection should be on Wednesday and then i will be paid if not the same day, then on Thursday,Initially i wanted us to talk about a favorable date to fly in this weekend before this development. Tomorrow, i will start making inquiries and market surveys for the equipments i need to buy so i can pay for them on Thursday as soon as i am paid, then hand over to the shipper for shipment immediately.

Please my dear, i hope you can understand the situations on ground. I felt very bad about this sudden development because i have already conditioned my mind towards coming to see you this weekend before this came up, at most i will be there for just one week or so and i will come to see you.I am missing you even more now knowing i won't see you by weekend, instead the upper weekend. Now he "arrived" in Benin. And felt me, totally stranger, sitting next to him. Blah and yuk :X When I read his mails I tried to filter that syrup because I really got some vomit into my mouth every time I read his mails. If he really is HE his writings were just too sugary...eww.

His IP address points all the time (except the first) to Lagos, Nigeria. I think he has a partner in Benin who picks up the money sent. The first email IP pointed to US, North Dakota which was surprising but maybe he was trying to be somehow realiable if I´ve checked him.

Unfortunately I didn´t have tools for investigation of IPs earlier but fortunately I got them now. This scam is revelead totally Smile

It is not safe to use your personal info to bait. You have a scammer who might be somewhat annoyed with your photos and information.

Secondly, we don't tell scammers we know they're scammers-that's called "burning a bait". That's also addressed in the link above. This educates the scammers- and the last thing we want to do is make it easier for them to fool victims.

I´m studying right now all these finesses about baiting cleverly. I only wish I knew about this site when that scumbag was emailing me! At the time I just wanted to make him do some futile work little bit more and then tell him that I knew what he tried with me. It didn´t even come into my mind that he really is in Africa and part of very large criminal organization doing this systematically. I thought he just was one individual trying to get money from me.

But then one of my friend told me about this site. And my eyes opened. I repeat: if only I had known about this site before!! I would definitely complete my baiting different.

I have carefully checked that any of my personal info is not in net anymore. I have fake profile and if someone innocent contacts me I just ignore.
