Scammer or not?

Having had profiles on a few different sites, I have been subjected to many a scammer. Fact is, I think I've gotten so good at detecting them, that I can figure them out a million megabites away. Smile

Anyway, I got a new mail just yesterday, and am on the fence about whether it's a scammer or not. I'm certainly leaning towards scammer, though there are signs that he might be legit (though the more I think about it, the most I think he's not). For instance:

1) He had to of paid some money to send me the email (not free on this site)
2) He has a hotmail -- not yahoo -- email account.
3) Claims he's from Italy... it's mostly the UK that scammers use.
4) I've never been contacted by a scammer from this particular dating site.

Signs he's a scammer:

1) The original email appears to be script

Hey Dear

I just saw your nice profile and read through so i realised Its would be nice if we can start as friends from here, i have really prayed in my life to meet someone who would understand me and like me and then be a good closer friend to me so then we can see what goes from there since life is nothing but meeting someone that would help you have the happiness in you besides am picky as well too but you just looking nice and i think i would want to know you more.

Well opening up with someone nice like you seems to be what i would really want to experience, friendship is something i love not just someone that cheat on the other but someone that is prepared to make it with me, i mean a real true friend that is someone that who will walk the long way when i don't even want to hop the fence, besides i have realised i need to make a move since God will not send an Angel from heaven as a wife to me lol.

I really need my ideal wonderful partner, and i know when we really meet nothing can seperate us even no distance of place or lapse of time can lessen our friendship,you know i have realised in life that some people only think of wealth more than relationship they also think of what they would make from someone rather than thinking of how good the relationship can get to,

To me now i forever believe that,Money and power only last for few weeks, but friendship and love withstand the sky above and forever, it would be there since that is what God him self had blessed, so then lets get to know each other from here much so then we can see what could come out fromhere okay? i hope am not writing much right?

I want to make this last note, that is do not worry much about distance from here okay? i know its really boring i do feel the same thing as well too though, but have it in mind that miles may lie between us, we're never far apart, for friendship doesn't count the miles, it's measured by the heart hope you do really understand this with me right?

Most of the time nice People come into our lives and walk with us a mile, and then because of circumstance they only stay a while. They serve a need within the days that move so quickly by, and then are gone beyond our reach, we often wonder why. God only knows the reason that we meet and share a smile, so why do you think people come into our lives and walk away sometimes?

write me and tell me more of your self and i would also do that later on when i hear from you okay?dont forget we are all interested in been happy in our lives aheard so have a positive thinking with me and lets see what happends from here okay? you know you love someone when you want them to be happy even if their happiness means that you're not part of it right?

2) The use of the word "dear." So common with scammers.

3) The willigness to date someone a zillion miles away. Yeah, right. Here's the second and last (so far) of the emails I've gotten from the dating site:

Wow nice to hear from you too and i can see you have a nice caring heart to open up for the right person and in life if you want to make something happen is you that will let it happen right,the distance is not a problem to me and am willing to relocate to anywere my love will come from,am a road contractor,i use to travel alot to other countries for work but now i want to settle because life is too short for us to enjoy your self.until then patrick writes with caring heart take care and have a great day.

It's a scam.
The format is posted elsewhere on the internet by a baiter.

Be careful about your assumptions about Hotmail- plenty of lads use this, along with a myriad of other free email accounts, including those that sound like legit email accounts such as @lawyer.com (which is simply a mail.com domain).

Could be a stolen CC used to register. Some will actually sign up and pay for a site then send out dozens of messages. If they get one victim then they more than make their money back on it

Makes no difference. They're all free email accounts

I've had ones claiming to be from Spain and Italy. Again, it makes no difference. The headers will tell you where they really are
