Ok so today i received an email in my catcher account. It was from '[email protected]', but was quite suspicious, so i checked it out.

All the other links checked out (obviously), but this one linked to a .exe file, which is definitely strange.

I was kinda hoping someone could check it out.

The IP links to some random guys site 'erics world':

http://64.73.228.222/

And if you check the /~temp/ directory he gives you in the .exe link, it gives you a zip file, and a php shell offender whatever that is, which looks quite interesting, although my ignorance of all things computers kind of messes that up.

So yeah, anyone got any ideas? The email itself is quite believable so i don't like the thought of it still going around if the guy is spreading malicious code.

To be fair though, identical scams are posted on this site all the time.
