Does anybody know where an average joe like myself can set up a decent fake profile to lure vlads? I've been to totallyfreedating.com and nothing-nyet-diddly. I went to this other site called true.com, but so far they've just spammed the hell out of me with ads!
What's the secret? Am I too oogly or something? Any suggestions would be most welcome. |

Set up a short but nice profile on belovednet.com as a businessman you'll have em crawling in no time |

Sparkleroad works for me. Whatever site you use though, it pays to be active on it, as this will keep you on top of the lists that the scammers go through to find potential victims. Just keep the page open in the background and click on something every half an hour or so.
Also, if the vlads won't come to you, go looking for them. Most glamourous Russian girls with a long and rambling profile will have a vlad behind them, so get in touch and ask if they want to take it to e-mail or instant messenger. You may pick up a few genuine cases this way though, so bait straight for a while until you can spot the difference.
An even more high yield group is women who look like white supermodels but apparently live in West Africa. I've messaged dozens of these and have yet to find one who isn't an obvious lad(ette). They're far less scripted than vlads, and usualy much more fun because of it. |

Love-Town.com is always a good one, single123.com as well and cupidbay.com is always a fav but mybelovednet.com is unreal, I have to fight them off with a stick.
Just remember if they don't come to you then cold canvass some female members at those sites, choose the ones with really attractive photo's with a very open age range of partner sought, usually a good rule of thumb to spot a scammer. Be polite, don't be overly aggressive and if your contact turns out to be genuine and you actually don't wish to meet her or form a relationship then remember they are only lonely women so treat them with good grace and move on quickly. |

its usually safest to let them find you.
that way you limit the possibility of wasting time on some bimbo who just wants to sell videos or pics, or a prodater.
most of the vlads do not search the profiles manually.
they're using some form of program that retrieves a massive amount of profiles in the target range, and then sends internal messages to all of them.
the dating sites deny this of course.....
just make sure you have middleaged and male in the us/uk in your profile and you're set.
don't put too much effort into the profiles |

Good advice from Stepan.
If you actually wish to fill out your profile on any of the sites with some bait to entice the scammers mention that you enjoy being generous, have no financial concerns, own your own house....you get the idea.
One profile I had on a site I was a 54 year old man weighing 370 pounds with several unsanitary habits and possible leprosy, and yes I was swamped by nubile young bints, oyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. |

(laffin at Tarquin)
So.... what you're sayin' is I need to have an inbox address?
Geez, and to think of all the years I've wasted in reality-land by working for money and begging for sex!
I think I might have worked too hard setting up my profiles (successful business, beachfront condo, cute dog, etc.). Although I took the initiative and just viewed a few female profiles (from Russia of course), and got a few responses.
I gotta tell you... these "girls" are pretty darn convincing sometimes! I can only suspect Vlad activity at this point, but I can see why this type of scam is so successful. A couple of hot photos and an ego-boosting message (even to a fictitious character) are deadly-dangerous tools of the trade. I'm there as a BAITER and that crap almost works on me!
Good thing I'm broke all the time! That might be my only safeguard. |

Yep, you don't want to give yourself a good profile. You might actually get some real women after you if you do that! A bland one will still hook in the Vlads and if you throw in a couple of unsubtle turn-offs you'll ward away the genuine ladies in the process.
Another thing is photos. Most real people won't even touch a profile on a dating site if it's not got one. Vlad's don't care. They'll happily fall in love with you without even seeing one, although it may help to send a few copied and renamed DLL files just to placate them once you've got to e-mail. |

Yeah, the spelling is a good giveaway, but that pales into insignificance beside the fact that she says she lives in BEVERLY HILLS in a TRAILER!!!!! |

eez, by the writing I would say you're writing to a Nigerian lad and not a Russian babe.
Beverly Hills in a mobile home would pretty much be a dead giveaway that "she" has no clue. |

Hits, hits, hits! I'm now stringing 2 vlads along nicely, though I'm just getting a feel for the date-baiting thing. They seem to stick to standard scripts like the 149-ers, but there's a different atmosphere to their scams. Who knew I was just so damned attractive to Russian super-model nymphomaniacs?
You guys were dead right about the "too perfect profile" thing too. I've also received a couple of real hits, which I have politely declined.
If I were to get involved with the real hits, I would then put myself at risk of the well-known "divorce court scam", in which some local lawyer walks away with all my money!
Thanks for all your help folks. |

@Eezablade
That's PhDs for you. They excel at theoretical physics, but their English is appalling. Given the miserable amount of funding most of them get, I wouldn't be surprised if they live in trailers either. |
