According to http://www.useless-knowledge.com, the Greeks. I don't think my education is being wasted on me...if it weren't for the cost of school, I would never ever leave college. I love learning and would love to take every class offered here Sometimes, I think it's worth the high blood pressure I'll eventually have as a result of finals season. |

Refresh my memory please, I'm getting old and feeble. Who was it that said " education is wasted on the youth"? |
I like "youth is wasted on the young", which I think was George Bernard Shaw. |

For me (and for what it's worth) your teacher/professor etc..is what makes the class. Some teachers/professors make the class interesting. Some teach just what they know to the letter.(IE: The curriculem) I was educated by nuns and I know, first hand, how demeaning they can be.
My daughter was terrible at maths. She got a teacher she loved and her maths improved dramatically. The next year, her teacher changed. Now, she hates maths.
Just an observation.
We all know the hassles teachers go through, but some teach because they wish to impart knowledge and some teach for (Whatever reason as the years go by) the pay cheque.
Good luck with your assignment. |

The teachers personality has a lot to do with it. I can remember on history lecturer whose oratory style was monotone and droning. He was bloody aweful to listen to, much better than counting sheep and by the time he had finished more than half the lecture hall would be asleep. Yet, he was said to be really good in tutorials. |
