The IP address shows up Denmark where she claims to be. It's possible you had a pro dater on your hands. They're not quite the same as a scammer as they'll happily meet you for a week, spend your money and have sex with you. But then once you leave they do the same with the next guy on the list.

As far as the photos are concerned, the one of her in front of the clock tower is Venice, but the others look rather odd in that the perspective is foreshortened and I think they are photoshop images. I'm not sure if any of them are real.

It looks like in the background of some of her photos she is standing in front of model buildings and the word "Maxibon" appears on the elevated rail. Someone on this board might be able to identify the local where the photos were taken from these clues. Also, if there is any way you can enlarge one of the apartment photos, there is a sign or calendar or something with text on it behind her that might be legible.

Maxibon, by the way, is an ice cream brand marketed (as far as I know) just in Europe.

I concur with the 'Venice' clock - the winged Lion with its paw on the book gives it away... but I have seen that very building in St Marks Square and she ain't there!
The 'real St Marks Square' clock tower is a big building but the scaling in her pic is totally wrong. Look at the height of the railings compared to the height of the doors.
I think she's in a model village somewhere - this would explain the 'foreshortening' of the other images.
That pic to the left of the clock tower - that statue resembles Christ overlooking Rio De Janeiro (?)
Also on that pic- there is a name plate on the grass just to the left of her - and there is also a piece of a sign to the far right of the clock tower - if these can be blown up and the signs are in Cyrillic.... ???

As she is supposed to be from Denmark, ask her if she has ever been to Legoland? Laughing

What they often do (and what experienced scammers teach newbies to do) is to choose a socks proxy and claim to be from the location that matches that proxy, to avoid suspicion. Like if a proxy is from Denmark, she gotta say she is from Denmark.

Do these people deserve to be baited though? Do they steal your money or just get you to buy them stuff? Just wondering how it works. I have never heard of a pro dater.

Pro daters are kind of a gray area in my opinion. You chat to them online in exactly the same way as normal scammers, arrange to meet and you do actually meet them. You buy them expensive gifts, take them for expensive meals and they boff your brains out for a week. From the stories I've read, after that they either stop communicating with you, arrange to meet you again and get you to spend lots of money on them all over again or say they don't want to see you again. Of course as you're getting on the plane to go home, another guy's on his way there for the same treatment. It's off topic as this one isn't a pro dater, but I've never been sure whether to to class them as scammers or prostitutes. Maybe a little of both. It's like cam girls. Some will say "give me cash and I'll give you a show" while some will pretend they need money for college/sick family member and "reluctantly" agree to a show for cash as a way out of their financial situation. Are they scammers seeing as - at the end of the day - you get something for your money?

They seem more like hookers to me. I don't agree with it, but if they do provide the 'service' they promise, then they are not really scammers.

That is really interesting though, I have never heard of that. Is there a normal hot spot for them like the Nigerian scammers? I mean, there are probably 'pro daters' from all over, but are they typical of one specific area?

About the pro daters... I never meet any of them, but I think they should "give more" to the fish if they want to take the money. I mean, sex promises, etc... My Oksana is very shy... took 2 months to see that FAKE twins. Also, she doesnt look very interested on me if I dont send the money first. As for the plants: the big spiny one left behind her is Agave Americana, originally a Mexican plant, but improted in Europe. I've seen them around in Spain, but not often in the wild, and certainly not that big.

the scam or fraud content usually includes luring these men to them with at least a hint of possible matrimony.
I've only read reports from victims. there's really no effective way to bait them.
they seem to vary a bit.....from being virtual hookers....to being sly sirens who will lead a horny bugger around on a tour of shops, restaurants, bars, hotels they'll get a commision from...(prearranged) as she collects gifts along the way, which may be sold before the guy leaves town.
some of these guys will hardly get a good cuddle out of the deal.....since a translator or chaperone, for which he pays also, may always be present. a 'friend' may always show up with the lady....expecting drinks, dinner...also.
one guy was unhappy since every time his 'girl' met him.....she brought a rather large male with her.

so.....you may get laid.....but you're guaranteed to get 'screwed'!

and yes.....some of these are suitably diseased and or iv drug users.
