Welcome, crashhoot. Drop him immediately. Bait safe, get a mentor, Crash. They can find where you live and send their friends to visit you.

I like that "sophisticated corporate security specialists" can "do denial of services, they can compromise systems, they can track individuals to their home countries". Wow. Were did they get that special talent?

I'm guessing that guy is thinking of a few people who have run some anti-spam sites and the spammers targeted their servers with DDOS until they had to close down. Nothing to do with us. I don't know why they always interview someone that knows nothing about it.

Just for any new members reading that article, who might be speculating the issues: If you've set up a dedicated baiting address, and use the web interface of a mail service like Gmail (which doesn't send your IP address) - you've removed 99.% of any danger, just so long as you continue to guard your personal information - and keep your tinfoil hat on.

That article appears to start out word for word the same as the television program a little while back.

I went for a refinance last month and almost had to pay higher rates. When they did my credit check, they questioned me not why all my bills were paid on time, but what was the deal with the cancelled email accounts? Luckily I was able to explain my way out of that one but others may not be as lucky!
