Evening all,

I had an idea, but I'm not sure whether it would work, so please feel free to add your comments. I noticed a few times that there were difficulties baiting using the McDuck method because the baitees were googling www.V@#$#@$sec.com and being brought here or to another baiting related site. Thus ruining the bait. My idea is to saturate the Interweb...but just a little. This could work if baiters could put the web address and keywords on the web in a variety of places. This could be done by posting about it on baiters websites, but obviously not real ones. A number of residents of this forum create church/business websites for the sole purpose of baiting, so they would seem to be a good place to post some lovely comments with the keywords/web addy.

Another idea, would be for the mods (hi mods) to put a filter on. In this way, if someone typed in www.v23432432sec.com the word would change to "McDuck's site" or something equally innocuous.

Any comments?

There isn't a button to vote for the word filter option, I would go for that one.
Applying same the same to WUSec site.

Excellent point, but that's not going to stop people from doing just that.

If noone stops me from leaving the house without an umbrella and I don't get the relation between dark, rainy clouds and an umbrella myself I'm gonna get wet every now and then. But I'm not gonna ask the mayor to put a roof over every walkway.

As a matter of principle, I always vote what TSnerd votes on days beginning with a "T", though I like the idea of covered walkways... Wink

Thank you, Luther- your support has been noted. My numbers grow larger everyday and soon I will take over the world and rid it of brussel sprouts.

On a serious note- we just had a huge debate about this just recently.

Long and short- mask the name, L33t the name, or just don't post it. The forums here, with exceptions, aren't behind a login because we want potential victims and baiters to find it. A victim who googles a lottery address and finds nothing but hits here and other places will hopefully stop and say, "Hey! This is crap!"
