/\/\/\ No reason why a well built chop would fall apart, though when I was a lad (and dinosaurs ruled the earth) people building choppers used to do very dodgy things like put 'slugs' on fork tubes to extend them, basically a length of steel tube with a thread turned at each end, to fit into the thread meant for the fork caps. Shocked

Here's a couple of bikes I built recently, Tamiya 1/24 kits of two of Rossi's World Championship winning bikes. I want to build the Yamaha M1, but first there's the small matter of a 1/24 1967 Honda F1 car I bought off Ebay (and the kitchen I seem to have promised Hayley Sad

). I go a bit over the top with these kits, painting bolt heads, tyre valves etc.

WOO HOO!!!! Mid sixties today, went home for lunch and got the bike! Although it has only been around a month since I last rode, it felt like forever.
