I just set up a new profile on cupidbay.com and wanted some advice about the photo, is it really necessary to put a photo on there (not of me of course). If so, then what photo can I use?

This is my first attempt at baiting, as I have read the stickies and made sure to set up an e-mail at fastmail.fm.

Any advice from you experienced baiters will help Very Happy

You probably won't need one. Give it a few weeks, you should have some nibbles.

I've never done it. Most scammers don't even look at the profile, they just look for new joinees and message them claiming to have looked at their profile. If I remember, cupidbay will show you how many times your profile was looked at. Expect it to be much lower than the people who CLAIMED to have looked at it.

I've set up a profile on Cupidbay, too. I' m ready for the fun to begin. Didn't provide a picture, per your advice. If I'm asked to provide one, perhaps I could use my avatar pic. What do you think of that?

I have joined three or four dating sites, and have yet to receive any responses. Are all the Nigerians asleep right now? Or am I just too impatient?

On some sites, I'm a dude;on others, I'm a chick. (In real life, I am female). Jeez, I am impatiently awaiting responses! In my male incarnations, I've sent emails to potential scammers stating, "You're hot!" and in my female incarnations, I've sent little flirt messages.

I will keep you posted on what happens.

Give it a few days. It's the weekend for one thing. It'll take a few days for them to start rolling in. If you want a quicker fix then go to http://www.dotsilver.com/dating-scam/ and take your pick. It can still take up to 48 hours though.

Look around for the really sexy ones that are 20-25 and are looking for men 25 - 45 / 35 - 50.....this is almost ALWAYS a tip-off I have found.

Truebeginnings.com, yahoo personals, hotmail personals, cupid, friendfinders......lots and lots of places to look!
