Victims search for email addresses - you are forcing the scammer to change his email address to one that won't be listed on scamwarning websites. Victim seaches finds no warning and loses money - that's down to your stupidity you moron.

I'm not gonna pretend I'm an expert...but I don't think making them angry is going to ultimately change the end result to begin with. They use burner emails the same way we to. They get a victim, and cut and run. It's not like they use a dedicated email that we secretly want to keep active. Thats just ludicrous.

It's simply luck. He could easily Google it, which as I've said they definitely do, Hed be gone. Or they w ont. Either way, a temper inducing scambait has no effect on if they switch accounts.

Well! First of all... can we not poop all over the new members thread please? I've split this off since it had veered (way) off the friendly topic of "hey new member introduce yourself here!" Laughing

I'm not sure if this is a miscommunication that quickly escalated or not, but

Do you mean sending them literal spam until they shut down their boxes, or do you mean sending them things like baits/insults/pictures of penises/solicitations of goat sex/whatever until they rage insult you? Those are two different things.

What B8er was saying (albeit not politely) is that it costs nothing for a lad to signup for a new box. On sites such as scamwarners, we list scammer emails so that suspicious victims can find them if they search the address. For this reason we don't do things to shut down a lad's email. That said, we of course do many things to "flip out" lads.

My tactic seems to work for me...ive literally baited scammers that KNEW they were being baited for weeks at a time. At any rate i mean no offense to anyone here. Thanks for all the advice

Wow, that's a rough welcome. But seriously, please do not try to act as if you've discovered some new revelation about how to effectively bait. Until you give us detailed stories of your safaris and videos of lads singing Gilbert & Sullivan (seriously, somebody should do this), or even something as simple as reporting lots of bank accounts for something mundane, then it's a bit rude to argue with the many experienced people here. It does not make a good impression to come here, or any forum, and argue with people like a ten year old child who doesn't want to be proven wrong, and thus continues arguing and arguing so they feel proud of themselves. Can I just say that I'm begining to find all of this insulting behaviour by some members on this site a little disheartening. I think Noah115 should have got the message by now but if he/she hasn't then they never will. I've noticed Padme has tried a couple of times to tone things down but I really do not understand what is being achieved here.

B8er once spent a lot of time here. He still does, but dedicates even more time to ScamWarners and helping victims. I understand the frustration when you have put so much time into a project and then one email causes the lad to abandon the box.

Noah115, as I mentioned previously, we have established guidelines for a reason. Yes, in your limited experience, you may have seen a lad find your post. Most lads do not search their email addresses. Of all the posts on ScamWarners, ask B8er how many lads show up. It's a very small percentage. It's not something people commonly do on a regular basis. Hell, if it was, baits wouldn't be rumbled, either.
