There's an English expression "I haven't seen hide or hair of him". This can be translated into German, French, and Spanish with the alliteration preserved:
Weder Haut noch Haar habe ich von ihm gesehen.
Je n'en ai vu ni peau ni poil.
De él no he visto ni piel ni pelo.
How do these expressions sound in these languages? |

Look at it this way "Man!" or "Dude!" in English also translates and is in usage in Spanish and French. |

However, I also hear, "I could care less," which makes no sense. |

I have never understood "I could care less". It makes no sense, when you think about it.
It seems to be getting more common these days, though.
I also saw someone talking the other day on Facebook about having a "Chester Draws" for sale. I want to steal it for a character's name lol.  |
