I'm currently talking to a gentleman who is sapose to be in kekki doing a job of a water pipeline job is to last for 3 months..well now he is saying that the job is almost done. ..and is telling me that his BTA card has expired and needs 500.00 so he and his daughter can come home to the states...I have red lights flashing all over this....he has called me several times and his voice doesn't sound like American...I have a few pix I deleted quite a few..please if need some help..and or ideas..I have already sent him 500.00 within the 3 months..I feel like this is a scam but I'm unsure...please help.... |

From what you have posted, it does seem that you are dealing with a scammer. |

It's a scam. This format is well known. Often they use someone working overseas, sometimes soldiers, sometimes engineers.
Sorry to hear you got taken in by this guy.

Welcome to Eater and I'm sorry it was under these circumstances. Yes, it is a scam like others have said and a very well known format. Romance scammers are the worst: they take more than your money, they take your trust as well.
First of all, cut contact with him. Block his emails or texts, block his phone number or don't take his calls.
There is nothing to be gained for you in confronting him. He will lie to you about everything, the only thing he cares about is the money.
Please visit our sister site-like others have advised,. The folks over there will help you and you can post information so others won't get scammed. |
