Hey All,

How many of you in here has seen this movie? It came on 8/14/15. I actually saw it on the day it came out and well I actually liked it. It was a very good movie with a strong message.

Anyone else seen it? If so, your thoughts?

No they have 20" wheels. They are called dubs.

A lesson in Compton speak. Drugs were sold in $5 increments called nickel bags. Inflation caused the nickel bags to be priced at the $10 level, then called a dime bag. Inflation has not stopped so the bag became the double dime bag or the dub.

) boyz in da hood was one of Ice Cube's best I reckon. For me its an interesting area because of the impact one small town has had in producing some of the best music of the 20th century and the hip hop genre in general.

I loved the use of fordee and its consumption out of brown paper bags. That's the old Compton. The new word is caguama.

I was on a very popular hiking trail this morning and someone was playing profane rap music as he ran up the hill. The music player quickly passed and a teenager that must have seen the movie said NWA. People laughed and as NWA was said back down the line other people laughed. Times have changed when NWA is a punchline to a joke.
