Robocall comes in almost daily telling me to press 9 if I owe more than $4,000 on my credit card. (I don't)

The phone number is always different. Yesterday it was my own phone number.

Have asked them to stop calling me with no luck.

Yesterday I played dumb and told the guy at the (Indian?) call center I owed $12,000.

I gave him an expiration date when asked, but hemmed and hawed when he asked me for the card number (had no intention of doing that)

Kept him on the phone for as long as I could stand before more or less politely hanging up.

So far today no calls- but I see why people go postal- if those assholes were nearby I can picture myself going there with my pistol grip sawed off shotgun.

I started keeping a log, and if it doesn't stop am contacting attorney general's office, though I doubt they can do anything.

And yes, I did renew my "do not call" registration.
