KALAMAZOO, MI -- No injuries were reported in a car-train accident Thursday morning that slowed traffic in downtown Kalamazoo during morning rush hour.

Kalamazoo Public Safety Assistant Chief Don Webster said a vehicle struck a freight train at East Prouty Street and North Pitcher Street. The driver of the vehicle ignored the train crossing signals, causing the crash, Webster said.

The accident has shut down traffic in that area north of West Kalamazoo Avenue. The train is expected to be stopped for about an hour longer, while Amtrak completes its investigation, Webster said.

I don't remember hearing this one on last evening's news. But I was doing my Baiter E-mails and might not have heard it. On the funnier side, A week or so ago I was listening to my police scanner. The dispatcher came on and said a unit needed to report to a local restaraunt called "Old Chicago". There was a report of a man in a Santa Suit passed out in the parking lot. (I guess Santa needed a vacation) Laughing

Did the article make any mention as to whether or not zombies were involved in the train crash?

Probably not. Here's some possible common sense Legislature here in Michigan. (For once)
